Western Cape Family Camp 2014

Warm sunny weather greeted campers as they arrived on the Friday at De Hollandsche Mollen just outside Franschoek.  Peter and Mary Hawes, after a long journey joined us for a wonderful weekend full of Fellowship and the richness of God’s Word. The Friday was given over to settling in and renewing acquaintances, many folk only arriving Saturday.However a blessed praise and worship meeting was enjoyed after dinner, the Holy Ghost giving immediate direction to the weekend through an abundance of Spiritual Gifts that continued to  proliferate in all the meetings.



The Lord began by reminding us that though we can plumb the greatest depths or scale the tallest heights His love is infinite and we enjoyed a glorious revelation of His Greatness, which love and greatness demands a response. His willingness to impart His Living Word into our hearts in a powerful way became so obvious. We were exhorted to examine our hearts condition, for it is only with the right heart that we can receive the Word with gladness. The ministry was rich and full and so much more could be said and many reports written.



Not a single person left without having had a personal and intimate appointment with the Lord where the deep issues of the heart were exposed and brought to light. I think it fair to say that we all made some serious admissions and committed ourselves to His working, bringing powerful change in our lives.



It would be remiss not to give a big thank you to our “Kitchen Hero’s” who freely gave of themselves, selflessly ministering to our needs. It is a massive task catering for the camp, lots of late nights that become early mornings in preparation and constant labour throughout the weekend to present   Five Star food! We also thank Peter and Mary Hawes for being so willing to come all this way to minister to us, it was a blessing.

Western Cape Family Camp October 2013

This past year has been a busy, productive and fruitful 12 months in the Western Cape Work and the speed with which the annual family camp appeared just emphasized how much the Lord Jesus has been doing.

Folk from all the various fellowships and True Light groups came together traveling from Southfield, Montague Gardens, Durbanville North, Thornton, Gansbaai, Langebaan, and Somersetwest with Peter and Linda Michell joining us all the way from Eastlondon.

A wonderful time of fellowship and unity was a particular highlight of the weekend, not to mention the powerful testimony of the Lord Jesus among us. He spoke directly and clearly by the Holy Ghost bringing a beautiful revelation of the Body of Christ. I will not attempt to outline the ministry because it would be impossible to do it any justice but just wish to recognize how every word, every song, every testimony and every spiritual gift fused together to produce a message that has had a transforming power on all who heard it.

We are so grateful to the Lord for the richness of His goodness toward us, not only on this weekend but over the whole year. With great anticipation we look forward to the work ahead of us because we know He is in it, has blessed it and He will add the increase. The Lord Jesus is building His Church and we rejoice in the part we have in that building.

Mens Camp April 2013

The Lord had really begun early on Friday night with a prophesy of the woman who came to Jesus with her alabaster box of perfume and broke it over the feet of the Lord. Not long after that had the entire room been filled with that fragrance.
From the Friday till Sunday we had been exhorted, to remove the lid of the container within our hearts, containing the gift from the Lord that had been give to us.
The responsibility remains with us whether we remove the lid of the box or not, but in doing so allowing that fragrance to be released and permeating every molecule of air around it.
With allowing the gift of Christ to be stirred up within us and allowing others to hear, smell and taste it, it could only be a wonderful, sweet smelling savor to the Lord.
Thanks to Scott and Tony for their shared gift which was sweet to our ears and I’m sure to the Lord’s.

Family Camp 2012

Family Camp is one of those wonderful opportunities for renewing old friendships and building new relationships in the Lord Jesus.
We were all excited by the abundant evidence of the blessing the Lord has visited on the work in the Western Capesince our last Camp. 
It was good to see how we have all grown in the Lord together and are all gripped by His vision for the work which He is doing, from the Southern Suburbs to the Northern Suburbs, Somerset West, Gansbaai and Langebaan.
The weekend was a perfect mixture of rich ministry and deep fellowship punctuated by the joy of a baptism in the large and very cold swimming pool.

 De Hollandsche Molen is situated just outside beautiful Franschhoek and provides a wonderful setting for a time together with Jesus.

As always the Lord spoke powerfully to each individual heart by the Holy Ghost challenging us according to our need.
The call went out from the first meeting to come and dine, cross the bridge into the joy of a full satisfying relationship with Jesus.
The Holy Ghost demonstrated in a very visual and practical manner how the Lord Jesus is the perfect and only Mediator between God and Man.
The love of God was in such evidence as He urged us to be reconciled to Him committing unto us the ministry of reconciliation.
Having been urged to come and dine we were asked to come and drink of Jesus the living water, a river that flows abundantly, unconstrained and full of Life.
We were asked to wade into Him up to our ankles, then to the knees, the loins and finally to swim.
Lord Jesus it is all about you!

Western Cape Ladies’ Camp 18 – 20 May 2012, De Hollandse Meulen, Paarl

We, the Western Capeladies, gathered from various areas, want with one loud voice of praise, to give honour and glory to God Almighty, the Creator of the Way, the Author of the Truth and the Evidence of the Life for a wonderful weekend away (who cares if it was cold and rainy!). 

Praises too ring to God for the vessels used over the weekend, Peter Hawyes (and Mary) and Rupert Freese (and Barbara). We thank God too for the lovely spirit of readiness and openness in each lady’s heart!
What a privilege –  in a world, where women either raise themselves up, are exploited for their bodies and looks, are abused by men or have no rights and worth – to hear from the heart of God regarding His thoughts and plans for women!  “He has made everything beautiful in His time” – the verse at the beginning of the weekend to catch our interest.
And catch our interest….. thatthe Lord did by the power of His Word and the truth contained in it. There were moments of wonder and relief as it was confirmed in our hearts that God has a plan and purpose for this world, through the ages unfolding His preparing of us for Eternity – either in Heaven or hell! 

How we delighted in the knowledge that what He does has order and a pattern! There were moments when we were alert, hearing of Lucifer’s clever plan to deceive us, but God’s way out – a wisdom from His heart.
There were moments of quiet as in our spirits we understood that submission is the key! Submitting ourselves to men, to our husbands, to the oversight, to the ministries brought by the brethren is submitting to God’s order and authority, yielding our will to His – yet yielding not only our will to Him, but also our bodies and our minds. How we rejoiced as again we were encouraged that it is the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus that lives in us and enables us!
 
Excitement filled our hearts as we understood that we are the Bride of Christ, being prepared for our wonderful Bridegroom in the Body of Christ! We heard how this Body, the Church, is part of the power structure of God against which the gated of hell shall not prevail!
And then there were moments of humility as we realized our privilege of speaking, speaking as helpmeets, speaking to establish, nurture and confirm that seed of the Word of God! We truly rejoiced in God’s purpose for us as women!

We had wonderful times of praise and worship, we had many a good laugh and times of fellowship. We enjoyed being well fed in the flesh (a big thank you, Tim and Kathy) and though the weekend is sadly over, we trust God to keep each word alive in our hearts!

True Light Men’s Camp 2012

A long and winding road led us up the mountain under heavy skies and a biting wind to the beautiful Heavens View Mountain Resort. Brethren from the many True Light and End Times Talks, Northern Suburbs and Southfield Fellowships all gathered together on the Galgenberg just the other side of McGregor, filled with an earnest expectation.
In hindsight no one could have anticipated how clearly and unmistakably and powerfully the Lord was to speak to us. Comments on the ministry included words like “intense”, “gentle”,” loving” and still others were left speechless and overwhelmed by the power of the Lord addressing Himself directly to our hearts.
The searchlight of God’s Word exposed deep and hidden paths in our hearts, areas we had long avoided in fear of what lay buried there. He called us to sanctification even as Samson was set apart unto God, a Nazarite from his mother’s womb, warning us of the danger of defiling ourselves with the world even as Samson defiled himself with Delilah and when he thought to shake himself as before he wist not that the Lord was departed from him.
 
Many came forward and were held up in prayer as they cleared themselves before God and renounced the hidden things of the heart, recommitting themselves to Him. The call on all our lives was clear, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before; we must press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
This weekend was not about renewal and recommitment, it was about getting on with the job, arising and setting our hands to the plough and not looking back! For this reason the Lord poured out his Spirit baptizing some in the Holy Ghost, who spoke in tongues for the first time while others he refreshed and opened wells long since gone dry so that the living water may flow again!
