A warm welcome from born again brothers and sisters that love the Lord Jesus “with a pure heart fervently”. Expect the truth of the Living Word of God – Jesus – to be upheld as it is revealed in the written word – the Bible. We believe in, and make allowance for, the operation of all nine of the gifts of the Holy Ghost to be “manifest to profit withal”. We always encourage the “effectual working in the measure of every part of the Body of Christ” and one of our favourite quotations is 1 Cor 14:26 “How is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying“.
Do not expect to find a pastor running the church. We believe that Jesus is the Head of the Church and he gave five ministries as per Eph 4:11 – apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers – all in the plural. You will find all these ministries in operation with elders taking oversight in the churches. Where a fellowship is still “young” the elders may not yet be ordained but they will be encouraged to “prove their ministry”.
The twofold purpose of each fellowship is to “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15) and to “warn every man, and teach every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus” (Col 1:28). To this end, we seek to lay a solid foundation of the principles of the doctrine of Christ as per Hebrews 6:1-2 in the life of every believer. The Lord Jesus is building His church and we are privileged to have received gifts from God to allow us to be “workers together with Him” (2 Cor 6:1)!
